Behavior Intervention Program
Program designed to support and improve the emotional well-being of children, helping
them increase their social and emotional skills and development.
CATCH - Speech screening, evaluation and therapy program
The CATCH program provides speech screening, evaluation and therapy for
preschool age children referred by child care providers and parents
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
Program to assist families, particularly those with the
lowest incomes that pay a high proportion of their household income for home
energy, meet their immediate home energy needs.
Family Self-Sufficiency Program
Innovative and interactive long-term program designed to guide
participating clients into economic independence.
Head Start / Early Head Start
Comprehensive childhood development program servicing children
from birth to five. Our center based programs are designed to
foster the development of children, including children with
disabilities, in a safe, stimulating learning environment.
Head Start Voluntary Prekindergarten
Supplemental educational offering to the HeadStart program through the
State of Florida Voluntary Preknidergarten program for all eligible four year old children.
Healthy Families Manatee
Program that provides families useful information on parenting and
child development through interactive, in-home guidance.
HIPPY
Parent involvement, school readiness program that helps
parents prepare their three, four, and five year old children
for success in school and beyond.
Housing Counseling
Program helping families maintain stability in their
living arrangements by providing a variety of financial services targeted to
help keep families in their homes. Families can receive information from a
certified HUD counselor regarding buying a home, renting, default, foreclosure,
credit issues or reverse mortgages.
Micro Enterprise Development
Manatee Community Action Agency (MCAA), in partnership with Suncoast Community Capital (SCC) and
Manatee Community Federal Credit Union, is offering training and funding to individuals who would like
to start or improve their own business. The program is called the Micro Enterprise Development (MED)
Program.
Weatherization Assistance Program
Program enabling low-income families to permanently
reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient.
