Behavior Intervention Program

The Behavior Intervention Program links a Behavior Specialist to children, parents and school readiness providers to work on improved child behaviors and increased social and emotional skills.

Services are offered during regular child care hours, and other times as needed to meet family needs.

Our rationale for this type of service delivery is to support the child's emotional well-being in the child's daily child care environment. Additionally it addresses the importance of relationships and interactions on the child's emotional development with the caregiver and parents.

Program Requirements

  • Interaction between parent and child care provider for minimum 12 weeks
  • Follow-up interaction at 3 months after intial service completion
  • Follow-up interaction at 6 months after intial service completion
Keys to the Behavior Intervention Program is the continued involvement from both the child care provider and parents extending from the intitial 12 weeks period of service delivery through the completion of follow-up services until all objectives have been acheived.
