Micro Enterprise Development
Would you like to start a business or improve the one you already have?
Manatee Community Action Agency (MCAA), in partnership with Suncoast Community Capital (SCC) and Manatee Community Federal Credit Union, is offering training and funding to individuals who would like to start or improve their own business. The program is called the Micro Enterprise Development (MED) Program.
The MED Program involves one-to-one or group training on the various elements to a
successful business, the preparation of an individual Business Plan, and the availability of loan funds to start you on your way to self-sufficiency.
The MED Program:
- Helps you develop your business plan or strengthen your existing business, and
- Provides you a loan serviced thru the Manatee Community Federal Credit Union.
- Small business training and business plan development.
- Loans: $500--$5,000
- Other services: Computer Training/Financial Education.
- Residence or business located in Manatee County.
- Household total income must be at or below the poverty level.

MCAA and SCC invites people interested to attend a free monthly information session. You will learn more how we work with clients. Our monthly information sessions are:

Date: Third Tuesday of each month
